There are several occurrences of water in Crawl:
- Shallow water, a type of terrain which randomly slows the actions of most species, and a home for aquatic and amphibious creatures.
- Deep water, a type of terrain that is deadly to most species, and again which may hold aquatic and amphibious monsters.
- Potions of water, which can be Evaporated to create clouds of steam or drunk for a small amount of nutrition. They are very rare but can be created by casting Fulsome Distillation on a clean corpse.
In addition, there are numerous things such as steam, ice, and mist that are forms of water. These are all covered on their own pages.
