Useful Info
Ice beasts are one of the more threatening creatures found in the early game, often appearing on D:5 or 6. Their icy bodies are resistant to cold and poison, and their attacks can deal a small amount of cold damage with each hit, occasionally shattering your potions. Fortunately, they are vulnerable to fire.
Tips & Tricks
- Ice beasts introduce several new things to worry about into the game; they are immune to Mephitic Cloud and cold damage, and their attacks destroy your potions. If you have fire or ranged damage available, use it. If you need to get into melee with it, feel free to berserk or quaff a potion of might. Drop any valuable potions you have before engaging it.
- The spell Summon Ice Beast lets you call an ice beast into existence to fight for you.
