A vile undead creation of the most unholy necromancy, made from the decaying corpses of humanoid creatures. It exists to spread disease and decay.

Necrophages are grotesque undead. Their melee attacks have a chance of draining your max HP with every hit.

They're fragile enough that almost anyone can defeat them from a distance with ranged attacks.

Prior to 0.26, necrophages inflicted rot instead of draining.
Prior to 0.24, followers of Fedhas Madash could instantly destroy them with the Fungal Bloom ability.
Prior to 0.16, necrophages could eat corpses to heal.
Prior to 0.15, necrophages could equip weapons and armor.
