It looks like this statue has been imbued with fire magic, letting it use fire-based conjurations against you. Fortunately, it looks pretty ineptly made, and its charring shows that it has trouble controlling its magic as well. |

Charred statues are stationary guard statues found in certain Vehumet altar vaults. They attack by occasionally shooting small beams of fire at you while you're in their line of sight.
