The Saprovore mutation reduces your odds of becoming nauseous when eating contaminated chunks, and also allows you to eat rotten meat (though at a higher risk of nausea and for less nutrition than when eating fresh meat). This mutation does not provide the benefits of the Carnivore mutation; saprovores cannot eat chunks unless hungry or worse. Saprovores get different messages when food rots in their backpack.
The saprovore mutation only exists as a starting mutation for orcs, ogres, trolls, kobolds, and ghouls, or as a possible demonspawn mutation. It may not be acquired from random mutations, nor may it be lost.

---|---|---|---|
0 | 33.3% | N/A, inedible | Most species |
