Version 0.31: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.
Abominations are undead monsters made by mashing partially-animated corpses together; this process also leaves them with demonic traits. Abominations come in two sizes:
They usually appear in vaults or can be found roaming naturally in the Abyss. Abominations do not heal naturally and are vulnerable to silver.
History
- In 0.32, all abominations will have a random bonus: might, haste, or regeneration. Their HD, AC, and EV won't be randomized; also, their melee damage will be slightly reduced. Additionally, abominations will lose No Regeneration flag.
- Prior to 0.31, abominations had randomized speed, 7-15 for small abominations and 6-12 for the large ones.
- Prior to 0.27, abominations could heal by merging with crawling corpses and macabre masses. Also, monsters could cast Twisted Resurrection to create abominations.
- Prior to 0.16, players could also cast Twisted Resurrection.
- Prior to 0.14, abominations could regenerate naturally.
- Prior to 0.12, the player could get a permanent friendly abomination by reading a scroll of unholy creation.
