The valour brand, exclusive to Long Blades, does the following:
- If your HP >= 80% when hitting an enemy, fire a range-4 piercing beam that can miss. Damage =
4d(2*base_damage/3).[1][2] - If unwielded, inflict weakness on the wielder for 10 turns.

Sources
Valour can only generate and exist on Long Blades. It is available through both random generation and through a scroll of brand weapon.
Strategy
Since valour's beam does not care about dexterity or skill, it is relatively stronger in the early game.
Assuming the HP threshold is met, the damage is clearly stronger than electrocution even when factoring AC and EV.
History
- Valour was introduced, along with the other weapon type specific brands, in 0.34.
