Probably made by some mage who wanted to teach a lesson to adventurers who hungrily read every scroll that falls into their hands, this scroll creates a fiery explosion that damages anyone in the vicinity... including the user! |
Reading a scroll of immolation will immediately release a burst attack centered upon you, dealing 3d10 fire damage to you and everything around you, as well as generating a lot of noise. Unlike most fire attacks, this cannot destroy your scrolls. Due to the possibility of this killing low-level characters, it will not generate on D:1-4.
Strategy
Used accidentally, these are mostly nuisance scrolls, injuring you and waking up nearby enemies. However, characters with high AC and fire resistance usually take next to no damage from them, making them useful for damaging swarms of weak enemies. As djinni characters are completely immune to fire, they treat these scrolls as useful, picking them up automatically.
