Version 0.13: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.
Pig Form is a bad form that can be inflicted by the unique monster Kirke's Porkalator spell, by being Polymorphed (whether through the spell or with the wand), or by drawing the Swine card from the Deck of punishment. Becoming a hog melds all equipment (including jewellery), suppresses mutations, and prevents spellcasting.
Pros
- Lower movement delay (7)
- Small size (good evasion)
Cons
- Spellcasting is disabled
- Can't evoke wands
- All equipment, other than amulets, is melded
- Unarmed Combat base damage is 1+UC/5, instead of 3+UC
- Unstealthy
- 0 AC
History
While Pig Form has been around as long as Kirke has, version 0.12 made it somewhat more common with the changes to the Polymorph spell.
