Porkalator is a monsters-only spell which attempts to temporarily force its target (usually you) into Pig Form. This will meld all equipment except for amulets into your body, suppress any suppressible mutations, and prevent you from casting spells until it wears off.
As with any other non-damaging enchantment, high magic resistance will help you to avoid becoming porkalated.
Only natural, demonic, or holy creatures can be affected by this spell (so you're safe if you're undead, nonliving, or in lichform). When cast on non-player targets, the effect is somewhat different. Natural creatures will become hogs, demonic creatures will be turned into hell hogs, and holy creatures become holy swine. Note that these alternate forms do not apply to you; demonspawn and demigod characters will still simply enter Pig Form.
