Name | Book of Wizardry |
A book of various magic spells, useful for any sufficiently-talented spellcaster. Mages of a scholarly nature consider it a point of pride to have contributed in some way to this work, though more than a few of them have been slain by jealous rivals using their own spells against them. |
Most spells in this book require much training before they can be effectively cast. Summon Elemental is very dangerous but a Fire Elementalist could make effective use of it after raising Fire Magic to 10 and using it with Conjure Flame; Earth Elementalists have it easier, as they only need 5 in Earth Magic. Every other spell is valuable once the appropriate skill is raised to around 7-8, especially Haste. Bear in mind that magic contamination is still a risk even at higher levels.
