Useful Info
Queen bees are the massive insect leaders of bee hive vaults. They are slow, and although they pack a dangerous poisonous sting, they prefer to let their hordes of killer bees handle you, especially after berserking them. They only appear in their bee hive vaults, which can generate throughout the middle-Dungeon as well as in some branches. If you see one under other circumstances, it's likely a shapeshifter.
Tips & Tricks
- While queen bees aren't very dangerous on their own, they are only found in the company of a swarm of killer bees, and they can berserk all of them in a single action. When encountering a bee hive, lure the killer bees away a few at a time and try not to wake up the queen. If she does start pursuing you, keep out of her line of sight as best you can until you've trimmed away her allies.
- Like most insects, queen bees and killer bees are vulnerable to poison. Hitting them with Poisonous Cloud or Ignite Poison a couple times will eradicate them, while Mephitic Cloud will turn them against each other.
