Useful info
Goblins pose no real threat to most characters - only very early level characters unskilled in fighting and with poor offensive and defensive stats are likely to have problems, such as mages and halflings. They may carry a club, dagger, sling, or very rarely a wand.
Tips and tricks
Pillar dance to recover if they hurt you too badly, run if they have a wand, and hide around a corner if they fling too many rocks at you.
