Version 0.28: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.
The tutorial is a helpful introduction for new players to Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. Featured in both offline and offline versions of Crawl, it is a text and gameplay integrated mode designed to teach you the controls and basic gameplay functions.
