A surprisingly ambulatory mushroom. It wafts its spores over prey to send them into a deep sleep, making it simple for the fungus to kill and devour them. It can take months for its mycelia to fully infiltrate and digest victims. |
Useful Info
Sleepcaps are early Dungeon monsters, appearing on D:4-8. Their melee attacks have a 50% chance to put the opponent to sleep if any damage is dealt. Unbreathing monsters and players are immune to sleep-inducing spores.
Tips & Tricks
- In addition to being a monster with rPois and rN+++, the sleep is threatening to any character vulnerable to it. It prevents you from moving, reduces your EV to near 0, and increases damage taken.
- If you are immune to sleep (Undead, Gargoyle, Djinni, have clarity, or during berserk), then you have much less to fear.
History
- Sleepcaps were added in 0.30.
