Word of Recall

Word of Recall is monsters-only spell which teleports a random band of human intelligence creatures to the caster. The spell takes 30 auts to fully cast, however, so if you can disable the caster, the spell will not take effect. It is also subject to a breath timer, so it cannot be cast repeatedly. The following methods allow you to interrupt Word of Recall:

• Silence
• Yara's Violent Unravelling
• A water elemental's drowning attack
• Paralysis
• Confusion
• Frenzy
• Fear
• Sleep, through Ensorcelled Hibernation or otherwise
• Full petrification
• A wand of polymorph
• Killing the caster

The following enemies cast Word of Recall:

• p Ironbound convoker

It can also be cast on you as an effect of a Zot trap.

History

• Prior to 0.27, this spell couldn't be interrupted by Yara's Violent Unravelling.
• Prior to 0.17, curare had an asphyxiation effect that could block or interrupt Word of Recall.
• Prior to 0.14, this spell had no breath timer.
• Word of Recall was added in 0.12.
