| Unlike its mundane counterparts that are merely half an inch big, this enormous flying bug is large enough to be ridden by some spriggans. When threatened, it can flash warning signals to its kin (and anyone else close enough to observe). |
Useful Info
Giant fireflies are fairly flimsy flying creatures that are only noteworthy when they serve as mounts for spriggan riders. Apart from that, they are fairly harmless. They are rare, usually only appearing in certain vaults, but shapeshifters may assume their form as well.

None needed. Kill off more dangerous opponents before worrying about them.
History
Giant fireflies were added in 0.7.
Giant fireflies will appear in the Enchanted Forest in 0.13 and they will gain the ability to flash a signal that alerts other giant fireflies, spriggan riders and conscious monsters.
