This spell hurls a mighty bolt of lightning. Although this spell inflicts less damage than similar fire and ice spells, it can at once rip through whole rows of creatures. |

Lightning Bolt is a level 5 Conjurations/Air Magic spell which fires a bolt of lightning, dealing less reliable damage than other Bolt spells, but at longer range and with the potential to strike targets twice through multizapping. By firing your bolt into a rock or stone wall, it will bounce back at an angle, dealing damage to everything it strikes along the way. Unfortunately, the spell creates a lot of noise. Unlike other bolt-type spells, Lightning Bolt doesn't lose any squares of range when it hits monsters.
Strategy
- Lightning combines well with Summon (air) Elemental; air elementals are immune to electricity, so you can sic them on a foe while zapping through them harmlessly.
- Much like some of the more powerful Fire Magic spells, Lightning Bolt can be used to set trees ablaze.
