| A balloon-like sac of slime mold spores, suspended in a nutrient slurry to sustain them on their search for a new home. To the great misfortune of any adventurers in the vicinity, this slurry is also a highly potent acid. |
Spawns from Creeping plasmodium in Slime Pits.
Useful Info
A drifting explosive-monster made by creeping plasmodium. Explodes for 3d20 acid damage in a 7x7 radius, then creates Nascent plasmodium on walls it touches (as long as each new plasmodia isn't made adjacent to another one).
Tips & Tricks
- AOE damage is particularly helpful for keeping the population low while continuing to damage the source. Spells like Fireball and Ignition shine here.
- The caustic sporangium travels at less-than-instant speed. Summons can absorb the blast while you retreat.
History
- Added in 0.34 as part of its update to the Slime Pits.
