A scroll that allows its reader to selectively erase one spell from memory to recapture the magic energy bound up with it.

Reading a scroll of amnesia causes you to instantly forget a spell of your choosing. This frees up spell levels, allowing you to memorise other spells. It remains in your spell library, so you can relearn it if so desired.

Strategy

Scrolls of amnesia are almost essential to casters. It lets you learn an early game spell, say, Searing Ray, then forget it once it's no longer useful. They serve no combat purpose, so you don't need to keep them in your inventory.
