Unlike its mundane counterparts that are merely half an inch big, this enormous flying bug is large enough to be ridden by some spriggans. When threatened, it can flash warning signals to its kin (and anyone else close enough to observe). |
Useful Info
Giant fireflies are fairly flimsy flying creatures, noteworthy only for serving as mounts for spriggan riders, and for their ability to alert nearby foes with their signal flash (similar in effect to a shout). Apart from that, they are mostly harmless, though lightly armoured low-level characters may wish to be careful when confronting them en masse. They can be found alone or in packs in the Swamp, certain Lair vaults, and in the company of spriggans.
Tips & Tricks
None needed. Kill off more dangerous opponents before worrying about them.
History
Prior to 0.13, they were far less common, and were unable to signal others.
