The rod of frigid destruction is a rod which contains several Ice Magic spells. Like all rods, its effectiveness rises with your Evocations skill. Throw Frost is a fairly weak single enemy cold damage spell, Throw Icicle a more powerful version which partially ignores cold resistance, and Freezing Cloud generates a smite-targeted bank of freezing clouds. While the first two aren't useless, the final spell is by far the most impressive. Read the Freezing Cloud article for more details.
