Version 0.21: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.
Frozen is a status effect which increases its victim's movement delay by 3, leaving their action speed unaffected. This makes escape significantly more difficult, and makes manoeuvring around the battlefield significantly more costly. The duration of the effect depends on the source.
This status effect also works on monsters, showing the description encased in ice when active.
Frozen can be inflicted by:
- Qazlal Stormbringer's cold-elemental Upheaval ability.
- The Glaciate spell.
- The Flash Freeze spell.
- Miscasting a high level Ice Magic spell
