Fountains are a Dungeon feature often found in many vaults. They are almost entirely decorative, but water-filled fountains act as water tiles for the purposes of allowing aquatic creatures to swim through them, extinguishing sticky flames, and generating steam and freezing vapour when fire and ice spells are cast over them.

History
- Prior to 0.15, mimics could disguise themselves as fountains.
