Version 0.14: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.

Localized Ignite Poison is a monster-only spell which functions identically to the spell Ignite Poison, dealing heavy fire damage to anything which either leaves a poisonous corpse or is currently affected by the poisoned status effect (in the latter case, the poison is effectively cured). Unlike Ignite Poison, however, this spell only affects a single target, not everything in one's line of sight.

Because different player species have different levels of resistance to poison, the actual threat level this spell presents varies wildly. Undead and gargoyle characters are entirely immune to it, as they can never be poisoned, while nagas are innately poison-bearing, and thus are always susceptible to its effects.
