Useful info
Lava worms are the fiery version of plain worms. They're not much stronger than standard worms, but the extra fire damage they do can add up, not to mention destroying your scrolls. They may appear in various pools of lava.
Tips and tricks
Lava worms can't leave their molten habitat and aren't worth much XP compared to other things you'll probably be seeing by the time you find them, so you can feel free to avoid them if you wish. If the dungeon layout forces you into melee range, they're not difficult to kill, especially if you have cold damage. Just keep an eye on your more valuable scrolls.
