Sphinx marauders are the earlygame "sphinx" monsters that have Airstrike-flavoured melee and a unique hex spell. They appear in the late Dungeon as an out-of-depth monster, rarely late in Shoals as top-tier threats with a chance of a duo of harpies, and in Vaults:1-4 with a good chance of the other sphinx. Also, they generate wearing cloaks.
