Desirability
Decent. Strength provides a fair boost to your damage, and lets you wear armour easily. A ring of strength might be a good find for early characters wearing heavy armour. However, resistance-boosting rings may be more useful as you go through the game.
Every point of strength adds a +2.5% multiplier to your base damage, or a 15% boost from a base ring of strength. If your (base damage * skill multiplier) is above 26.6, the ring of strength beats a ring of slaying.
History
- Prior to 0.27, you could find rings of strength with a -4 enchantment; such rings were always cursed.
- Prior to 0.25, enchantment values ranged from 2 to 6 (positive and negative).
