Iron Shot is a level 6 Conjurations/Earth Magic spell which launches a metal lance at a single target. It has modest range, and is both irresistible and powerful, but is liable to miss or be blocked.
Strategy
In spite of being a single target spell, Iron Shot is extremely popular, as no monster has a special resistance against physical damage. Even Air Magic-specialists have been known to pick it up as a guaranteed weapon against the most dangerous and resistant foes out there, such as orbs of fire. Lehudib's Crystal Spear is an upgrade, but Iron Shot is much easier to cast safely, making it the more common choice.
This spell combos well with Borgnjor's Vile Clutch, another Earth Magic spell. The zombie hands are great on their own, but also hold enemies in place to be hit by the Iron Shot.
Monster Version
This version of the spell is almost identical to the player version, though the damage is significantly more variable.
The following enemies cast Iron Shot:
- z Ancient champion (3d26 damage)
- L Boris (3d37 damage)
- & Cerebov (3d36 damage)

History
- In 0.31, Iron Shot will be revamped into Leda's Unmaking. Similar spell; slightly less damage, but creates mud on kill (mud acts like Leda's Liquefaction).
- Iron Shot was formerly named Bolt of Iron, and then Iron Bolt, but was renamed once more in 0.6 due to the fact that it did not function like the other Bolt spells.
