Version 0.31: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.
The stasis intrinsic, exclusive to Formicids, provides immunity from a wide variety of time and space altering effects:
- Teleportation
- including Vhi's Electric Charge
- excluding level shifts in the Abyss
- Blinking
- Haste, Slow, and Swiftness
- Paralysis
- Berserk
Stasis will not block any of the following:
- Effects that warp space around you: Passage of Golubria, Hepliaklqana's Transference, Abyss shifts
- Okawaru's Finesse
- "Paralysis" inflicted by the onset of stat zero
- Transporters (not to be confused with teleport traps)
- Banishment
- Other disabling effects like Petrify or Sleep
History
- Prior to 0.25, stasis did not block Swiftness.
- In 0.18, the amulet of stasis was removed, the primary and only way for most characters to get this intrinsic.
- Prior to 0.18, stasis blocked Okawaru's Finesse.
