The venom brand allows your weapon to poison your target, causing it to take further damage over time.
All strikes have a 75% to poison targets, regardless of damage done. The poison equal to 6-13, plus a random amount from 0 to 1.5x your melee damage, which is then reduced by poison resistance. Poison resistance gives a 66% chance to negate the poisoning entirely, and always reduces the poison by -66% if it does go through. Poison immune creatures, like the undead and the nonliving, are completely unaffected by this brand.
