| The rarest of the salamander castes, possessed of fearsome agility and unparallelled martial prowess. Their mastery of fire is woven into every strike of their weapons, filling the air around their opponent with sweltering flames. So hot does their blood run that even outside their native terrain, few can escape their pursuit.

Useful Info
Salamander firebrands are fast moving salamanders which create a ring of flame clouds around their enemies when they attack in melee. They can be found in the Snake Pit, the Depths and the Vestibule of Hell.
Tips & Tricks
- As is the case with all salamanders, fire resistance greatly reduces the threat they pose. With sufficient resistance and AC, you can likely ignore the flame clouds they produce without taking much damage. If you don't have fire resistance, however, consider blinking if you need to escape without getting scorched.
History
Salamander firebrands were added in 0.14.
