A nexus of sentient cancer and disease, borne aloft perhaps by malice alone. Its nature inflicts withering illness on all living beings in its presence. |
Useful Info
Ancient zymes are pestilential floating things which inflict sickness by their mere presence. Thankfully, they are not especially durable. They can be found in the Abyss.
Tips & Tricks
- Characters with rotting resistance are immune to the passive sickness and can largely ignore ancient zymes.
- For characters that are still susceptible to sickness, boosting your regeneration rate will make the sickness pass more quickly, and you can cure your disease instantly with a potion of curing in a pinch. Of course, it's best to wait until after you've killed the zyme to use either method.
- A ring of sustain abilities will keep your stats intact if you decide to wait out the sickness (though the stat losses from a single bout of sickness will likely be negligible). Deep dwarf characters should be particularly cautious around ancient zymes.
