Tips & Tricks
- Unlike some other gaze attacks, they don't require line of sight to gaze at you; if you can see them, you are at risk, even if there are walls in the way. Magic resistance provides no protection against them, and they can still gaze at you even if confused. The only surefire ways to protect yourself from their gaze are to be a follower of Jiyva or a formicid. You are also rendered immune to further paralysis for 1-3 turns after a state of paralysis ends, but that is in no way a reliable defense.
- Although paranoia regarding floating eyes is always warranted, evasion-based fighters are at significantly more risk around them than heavily-armoured AC tanks. A frozen minotaur in crystal plate armour is much better able to shrug off attacks than a robe-clad spriggan.

- If you don't have a means of killing one quickly, try using a scroll of fear; it has terrible magic resistance, and chasing it off temporarily will give you time to deal with its allies without risk of sudden paralysis.
