| A preserved honeycomb, still dripping with ambrosial nectar. Transforms the user into a living beehive, filled with the buzz of countless insects laboring inside them. The nectar produced within greatly increases the user's health and magic regeneration and if they become seriously injured, angry bees will swarm out to defend their hive. |
A honeycomb talisman is a talisman that transforms you into a walking beehive.
Useful Info
When eVoked, a honeycomb talisman puts you into Hive Form, which lasts until you end the form. Entering or exiting a form takes 5 turns.
Hive Form has the following effects:
Defensive traits
- +5 AC
- Innate regeneration: You gain health and magic regeneration which gets stronger with higher shapeshifting skill.
- Below minimum: No bonus (0 skill) - +1.6 HP/turn and +0.6 MP/turn regeneration (17 skill)
- Above minimum: +1.6 HP/turn and +0.6 MP/turn regeneration (17 skill) - +2.8 HP/turn and +1 MP/turn regeneration (25 skill)
- Bee swarm: When falling below 50% health, you release a number of killer bees with the berserk and Concentrate Venom statuses, with the number depending on shapeshifting skill. This ability goes on cooldown until you reach full health again.
- Below minimum: 1 bee (0 skill) - 3.2 bees (17 skill)
- Above minimum: 3.2 bees (17 skill) - 5.5 bees (25 skill)
Restrictions
- Melded Gear: Body armor and helmets
Okawaru disallows entering Hive Form.
Hive Form has a minimum Shapeshifting skill of 17, below which you get an HP penalty. Maximum skill is 25.
Strategy
- Hive Form is a purely defensive form, perfect for species who prefer not to/cannot wear heavier armor. At maximum skill, the regeneration bonus is the same as worshipping Jiyva and being at full piety. However, it takes a considerable skill investment to even use the form without incurring an HP penalty.
