Useful Info
Eidolons are insubstantial undead monsters, similar to wraiths but stronger. Their melee attacks are both draining branded and cause random stat damage. They can also magically terrify you, making you unable to move closer to the eidolon for some time. They are found in the Abyss, as well as several Crypt endings.
Spells: Cause Fear, Pain (1d14)
Tips & Tricks
Cause Fear can be resisted with high magic resistance. Even if it isn't resisted, it is rarely that much of a threat, although it can occasionally cause a dangerous lack of mobility, particularly in the Abyss. Luckily, Cause Fear does not affect your ability to attack these monsters in melee once they approach.
