You can see several bowstrings and arrows attached to fixed bow-like things. Typically, in a trap like this, only one is released every time the trigger is tripped. Such a trap is cheaper and easier to make than an auto-loading mechanism and a steel bow with the monstrous draw force of a bolt trap, so don't expect enormous damage. Still, a mere arrow through an artery is enough to kill a person. |
An arrow trap is a trap which fires an arrow when stepped upon by a player or monster. One of the weaker traps, they hold 3-11 arrows and deal 1 - 15 physical damage to you (monsters only take 1 - 7).
They can be disarmed with the Traps & Doors skill. Repel Missiles and Deflect Missiles both reduce the chance of this trap being able to hit the player, while flying characters will never trigger them.
