A formless mass of ancient fire, bound by heat and malevolence. The slightest disturbance will destroy the bonds holding it together and unleash a fire storm. It longs for that release, yet seems reluctant to move while being observed. |
Useful Info
Creeping infernos are fragile entities that explode into Fire Storms (8d8.25 damage) when killed. They are found naturally in Gehenna, or created by stokers.
They move like lurking horrors. Every turn, if a creeping inferno is in your line of sight, it can only move if distance <= 1d(LOS_range + 1) - 1
.[1] So when encountered at the edge of LOS, it is likely to not move, but the closer you get, the more likely it is to charge at you.
Tips & Tricks
History
- In 0.33, creeping infernos will act more like bloated husks instead of imitating lurking horrors. They will have more HP and willpower, but will move at the standard speed. Also, their explosions will deal 8d10 damage.
- Creeping infernos were added in 0.28.
