Exploding (brand)

Exploding is an ammunition brand found mainly on darts, but which may be found on large rocks sold in branded ammunition shops. Throwing an exploding dart at a target creates an unavoidable explosion that deals 2d5 physical damage to the target and everything adjacent to it. Explosive ammo always mulches when thrown.

Although their damage output is fairly low, exploding darts can often be found early on, providing useful guaranteed firepower for low-level characters (or a dangerous surprise from first floor kobolds!). They are useful for taking out evasive, fragile opponents such as giant spores and rakshasa illusions, but be aware that the explosions they produce are loud enough to attract a lot of attention.
