A beautiful but vain elf with an aptitude for magic and little else. His skills are the perfect complement of his twin sister Duvessa's fighting prowess. In search of more powerful spells, he journeys to the surface with his sister.
“Skill and grace, the twin brother and sister, are dancing playfully on your finger tips.” |
Useful Info
Dowan, Brother of Duvessa is one of a pair of twin elf uniques that hunt through the Dungeon as a team and are always encountered together. Dowan is a mediocre magician, while his sister is a somewhat competent fighter; however, when either one is struck down, their sibling becomes significantly more dangerous. In Dowan's case, this means suddenly replacing his weak attack spells with much stronger ones and being automatically hasted as soon as he sees you.

Tips & Tricks
- Neither Dowan nor Duvessa will follow you up or down stairs unless their sibling is adjacent to you too (in which case they both will) or their sibling is dead. However, you can drop one of them down a shaft without the other being able to follow.
- Dowan's upgraded spell list is very dangerous, but he has much less staying power than a berserk Duvessa.
- Consider wearing them both down before killing either one. The survivor will still be near death even after they become more powerful.
