Useful Info

Spatial maelstroms are a more advanced form of a spatial vortex, no longer confused and now capable of creating spatial vortexes by converting walls into chaos. In small numbers they aren't too deadly, but a swarm of them will tear you apart at the molecular level. They can be found in the Abyss.

Tips & Tricks

  • While distortion attacks are never very pleasant, take comfort in the fact that you're already in the Abyss. How much worse could it get?
  • If possible, try to lure them into wide open areas so that they won't breed to an uncontrollable degree. More often than not, however, you don't find them until they've already had some time to multiply.

History

Spatial maelstroms were added in 0.12.
