Useful Info
Deep elf elementalists are a dangerous opponent appearing in the Elven Halls. Elementalists will frequently use Awaken Earth (even when out of the player's line of sight) to destroy your defensive position. Expect to be quickly surrounded by earth elementals or, much worse, other strong deep elves when elementalists appear.

Tips & Tricks
- Their Awaken Earth spell is designed to discourage killholes and corridors, but there are ways of dealing with this:
- If you're far away from the killhole, the elementalist can't destroy it. When luring elves to a killhole, stand outside. If you didn't attract an elementalist, go back in. If an elementalist approaches, start retreating to a different location.
- Unless an elementalist knows your location, it typically won't cast Awaken Earth. If you're inside a killhole, the elementalist will often spend its turn going in, giving you a turn to cast Silence (if you have the spell) or react properly.
- Earth elementals are slow and not terribly strong, but being surrounded by them is never a great idea. It'll prevent you from moving, and the elementalist can still cast Fireballs at you.
History
- In 0.31, Awaken Earth will be removed. Deep elf elementalists will get Lee's Rapid Deconstruction instead.
- Prior to 0.18, they could cast Iron Shot, Summon Air Elementals, Sticky Flame Range, Summon Water Elementals, and Blink.
