I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away..."

-Hugh Mearns, _Antigonish_, 1-4. 1899.

Useful Info

Shadow wraiths are one of the more dangerous insubstantial undead monsters. They are innately invisible, and sneak up on you undetected before draining your XP with their melee attacks. If you can see where they are, however, they have few other advantages and go down quickly. - They are found in the lower-Dungeon, the Crypt, and Gehenna.

Tips & Tricks

  • Even if you only put it on after being attacked once or twice, keeping a source of see invisible around is a really good idea.

History

In 0.13 Shadow wraiths will drain speed instead of xp. This low-duration slow enchantment is fully-resistable with one level of life protection.
