Xtahua is a unique and ancient dragon. Xtahua is much more durable than a regular dragon, and has upscaled physical attacks and fire breath as well (3d38). Surprisingly, unlike most dragons it can open doors. Butchering Xtahua's corpse may produce a named fire dragon hide, though it has no particularly special powers.

Tips & Tricks

Xtahua can conceivably one-shot fragile, unprepared characters, and even beefier characters can't stand up to too much of his fire breath. Pile on the fire resistance (or Deflect Missiles to make his breath miss you entirely) and deal your damage quickly, as he's still a menace in melee range. If at all possible, use freezing weapons or Ice Magic to take advantage of his vulnerability, but avoid fire and poison.
