| Like a normal shield, only larger. It is very cumbersome to wear, and slows the rate at which you may attack. |
The largest of the shields, large shields provide high SH but require a high Shields skill to avoid seeing significant attack penalties. They are most useful to characters with high strength. They are too large for spriggans, halflings, or kobolds to use at all, but ogres, trolls, nagas, and centaurs find them comfortable to use. They can be found with the following brands: protection, resistance (fire and cold only), and reflection.
