Useful Info
Death oozes are fast undead jellies that eat items, corrode your armor, inflict rot, and generally brutalize you in melee combat. They are thankfully rare, appearing only in the Slime Pits.
Tips & Tricks
The death ooze is one of the most unpleasant sources of rot in the game, second only to death drakes. They're too fast for most characters to outrun, they eat most ammunition, and they have decent magic resistance to go along with their full set of undead resistances. That being said, killing them from a distance is really your best bet. If you have them, large rocks are an excellent option, as is Dispel Undead or aggressive application of unresisted Conjurations. If you have to enter melee with them, use gear that resists acidic corrosion and kill them fast to avoid unnecessary rot.
