Useful Info

Deep elf elementalists are a dangerous opponent appearing in the Elven Halls. Elementalists will frequently use Awaken Earth (even when out of the player's line of sight) to destroy your defensive position. Expect to be quickly surrounded by earth elementals or, much worse, other strong deep elves when elementalists appear.

Tips & Tricks

  • Their Awaken Earth spell is designed to discourage killholes and corridors, but there are ways of dealing with this:
    • If you're far away from the killhole, it can't destroy it. When luring elves to a killhole, stand outside it. If you didn't attract an elementalist, go back in. If an elementalist approaches, start retreating to a different location.
    • Unless an elementalist knows your location, it typically won't cast spells. If you're inside a killhole, the elementalist will often spend its turn going in, giving you a turn to cast Silence or react properly.
  • Earth elementals are slow and not terribly strong, but being surrounded by them is never a great idea. It'll prevent you from moving, and the elementalist can still cast Fireballs at you.
