This spell hurls a lethally sharp bolt of crystal. |
Much more than merely a more powerful version of Iron Shot, this is the ultimate single target damage spell, found only in the Book of Annihilations. Conjurers of all walks often branch into Earth Magic merely for the sake of this spell and its irresistible damage. The only drawback is its high casting difficulty and short range. At maximum power it deals up to 230 damage, strongly biased towards the average of around 117: 10d22 with a 30% chance of 10d23.
Monster spell
Certain feared monsters in the dungeon can also cast crystal spear, often with the ability to single- or two-shot unprepared adventurers.
monster_spell_damge = 3d(16 + power / 10) where power = 12 * monster_hit_dice
