Version 0.30: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.
An amulet which exerts a force that blocks some incoming attacks, and can even reflect any blocked ranged attacks back towards the attacker. |
Wearing an amulet of reflection provides 5 SH and the reflection ego. When projectiles (either ranged weapons or certain types of spells like Stone Arrow) are blocked, they are reflected back at the attacker.
Strategy
Players with high SH from shields (or other effects) gain the most from reflection, but any character will appreciate. the defense boost. In particular, reflection is great against ranged attackers like centaurs and yaktaurs, as it reflects their high-damage projectiles back at them.
The unrandart Brooch of Shielding provides even more SH than an amulet of reflection, but has the spirit shield ego instead.
History
- Prior to 0.26, in order to function, the amulet had to attune itself to the wearer at full health.
- Prior to 0.25, amulets of reflection provided 2 to 6 SH and did not require attunement at full HP.
- The amulet of reflection was added in 0.18.
