| The hide of a great umbral dragon, covered in extremely hard blue-black scales. In its raw form it does not provide much protection beyond the ability to blend with the shadows. With magical means, however, it may be used to make excellent armour. |
A shadow dragon hide is a body armour obtained by butchering a shadow dragon. Using a scroll of enchant armour on it will turn it into the more useful shadow dragon armour.

Shadow dragon hides were added in 0.16.
